Vertigo Games partnered with UberStrategist to support the launch of Arizona Sunshine for the Meta Quest 2. Already an award-winning VR zombie shooter on other platforms, Arizona Sunshine needed fresh attention for its enhanced Quest 2 release.
The goal of our one-month campaign was to generate widespread media coverage that emphasized the improvements made for the new platform and positioned Arizona Sunshine as a must-play title for Quest 2 owners.
We launched the campaign with a targeted press announcement focused on North American and UK gaming and VR outlets. Outreach emphasized the enhancements made for the Quest 2 version and tied Arizona Sunshine’s launch to broader news about the new console.
Following the launch, we capitalized on seasonal timing by pitching a Halloween-themed sales announcement for the PC version. We targeted contacts covering Halloween gaming roundups as well as PC VR-focused media to keep Arizona Sunshine in the conversation across both audiences.
Our rapid-fire PR campaign successfully positioned Arizona Sunshine as a standout title during the Meta Quest 2 launch window. Media coverage highlighted the game's improvements and helped cement its relevance with a new wave of VR players.
The Halloween campaign added an extra boost, securing additional placements and sustaining media interest beyond launch week. Our efforts helped reenergize the title’s PC presence and supported a strong, visible launch for the new Quest 2 version.
