Challenges & Goals

Mecha BREAK was a promising game, but the developers at Amazing Seasun Games were unsure how Western media would accept it. They turned to UberStrategist for a seven-month campaign to expand their reach beyond Asia and introduce the game globally.

Our strategy focused on establishing the studio in North America and Europe, securing press coverage, and driving players to their ambitious mech action game.

Strategic Approach

We announced Mecha BREAK at The Game Awards, timing news coverage with the gameplay trailer debut to generate buzz and hundreds of thousands of Steam wishlists.

Following the reveal, we maintained momentum with an alpha and three beta tests. We arranged playtests for Tier 1 outlets, hosted a press and influencer event at GDC, and promoted public beta sign-ups.

Mecha BREAK’s ambitious scope allowed us to engage a wide range of press, generating significant coverage during key development stages before launch.

Results

Our efforts helped a relatively untested developer gain a foothold in Western games media and established Mecha BREAK as the most anticipated upcoming mech game. To date, we have secured coverage from major Tier 1 outlets such as Forbes, IGN, GameSpot, PC Gamer, Digital Trends, and more.
