Challenges & Goals

Modiphius Entertainment sought to expand awareness for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – The Adventure Game beyond traditional media. The publisher wanted to leverage influencers to showcase the title in action and drive players directly to its Gamefound page.

The campaign’s primary goal was to spark excitement among board game and Elder Scrolls fans while motivating audiences to pre-purchase during the crowdfunding period. Sponsored activations gave Modiphius the opportunity to control messaging while ensuring broad exposure through trusted community voices.

Strategic Approach

We designed a sponsored influencer campaign that highlighted the game’s mechanics and its connection to the Elder Scrolls universe. Influencers were selected for their reach into both tabletop gaming and adjacent communities. This ensured exposure to audiences most likely to support the campaign.

Modiphius CEO Chris Birch joined several livestreams to demo the game with creators. This approach provided players with an exclusive preview and fostered direct engagement between the publisher and influencer audiences.

Results

The sponsored campaign built strong visibility for Skyrim: The Adventure Game, with over 620,000 impressions on YouTube and Twitch. Influencers presented the game in real-time, which allowed audiences to experience its mechanics and style before deciding whether to support the project.

Together with existing PR efforts, the sponsored influencer campaign helped sustain momentum on Gamefound and contributed to the campaign surpassing one million dollars in funding. The use of respected community voices gave the project credibility and visibility, and delivered the broad exposure Modiphius sought for both the game and its crowdfunding effort.
