Challenges & Goals

Pixile Studios, an indie team of approximately 15 developers, partnered with UberStrategist to support PR for Super Animal Royale, a 64-player top-down battle royale available across PC and consoles. The campaign focused on the launch of the Super Animal World expansion and the subsequent Bright Future update as key opportunities to reintroduce the game to media and players.

The client’s goals for the six-month campaign were to increase coverage in English-speaking markets, generate visibility across both releases, and position the title as an actively supported live service game. With the game already established, the campaign needed to recapture media interest while attracting both returning players and new audiences.

Strategic Approach

We focused on securing strong visibility for each major announcement by pre-seeding news and trailers with top-tier outlets under embargo. We positioned Super Animal Royale around its unique tone and ongoing support, highlighting how its expansion and updates reinforce it as an evolving live-service experience.

We supported these moments with targeted outreach and consistent follow-ups to maintain momentum between releases. Our team pitched developer interviews to highlight the game’s evolution and the team’s approach to maintaining a live service title. We also conducted influencer research to identify creators aligned with the game’s genre and audience demographics.

Results

The campaign secured 127 pieces of coverage, including 47 placements in Tier 1 outlets. Coverage appeared in publications such as IGN, GAMINGBible, Nintendo Life, Game*Spark, 4Gamers, Bleeding Cool, and Xbox Dynasty, expanding visibility among global gaming audiences.

We also coordinated multiple developer interviews with Tier 1 outlets, which gave the team an opportunity to share insights into the game’s development and ongoing support. The campaign successfully renewed media interest in Super Animal Royale and reinforced its position as an active, engaging live-service title following the expansion and update releases.
