Challenges & Goals

Mythic Talent partnered with UberStrategist to support the Early Access launch of Corepunk, a hybrid MMORPG/MOBA from developer Artificial Core. Its mix of fog-of-war exploration, deep customization, and PvE/PvP gameplay promised strong media interest—but past technical issues in closed betas had drawn criticism.

Our objective was to build positive buzz leading into open beta by securing preview coverage in top-tier gaming outlets. With only 2.5 months to execute, our challenge was to overcome the game’s prior reputation and deliver widespread exposure through press outreach.

Strategic Approach

We built a phased PR campaign to maximize pre-launch momentum. Outreach began with a news blast and new assets to drive early awareness, followed by targeted pitching to MMO and multiplayer-focused press.

To support global coverage, we ran localized outreach in Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German. We also distributed beta access to select media. As the holidays approached, we shifted to developer interviews to maintain the momentum and spotlight the team’s creative vision.

Results

Despite a condensed timeline and limited access to assets, our campaign generated meaningful media attention across gaming and MMO-focused outlets. Corepunk secured coverage from Tier 1 sites, including IGN, Screen Rant, PCGamesN, Bleeding Cool, Fextralife, MMORPG, Wccftech, and Adrenaline, along with additional placements in international publications like 3DJuegos and GoHa.

The campaign successfully re-engaged press interest ahead of the open beta and helped shift the conversation toward the game’s potential. While we weren’t provided metrics related to signups or downloads, the client expressed satisfaction with the visibility our efforts generated during this critical stage of the launch.
