Challenges & Goals

ByteRockers Games partnered with UberStrategist to support the launch of Insurmountable, a mountaineering strategy game on Steam. The campaign aimed to generate awareness and showcase gameplay through a sponsored influencer campaign.

The client’s goal was to increase engagement and introduce the game to new audiences through influencer-led content. This required a structured approach that would motivate influencers to actively play and showcase the game in a way that stood out from standard game coverage.

Strategic Approach

We developed a sponsored influencer campaign built around a competitive gameplay challenge. We partnered with 10 creators who regularly stream roguelike and strategy titles, ensuring strong alignment with the game’s genre and audience.

Each influencer participated in a score-based challenge and invited their communities to beat their high scores for a chance to win a Steam gift card. This structure encouraged competition between influencers and players, which amplified engagement and led to more dynamic, gameplay-driven content.

Results

The campaign generated 30 pieces of content and over 30 hours of streamed gameplay. This content introduced Insurmountable to a targeted audience of roguelike and strategy fans through gameplay-focused videos.

The competitive structure encouraged ongoing participation from both creators and their communities. The campaign successfully built engagement and created an interactive experience that extended beyond individual streams.
