Challenges & Goals
Atari partnered with UberStrategist to support the launch of Centipede: Recharged, a modern entry in the long-running arcade franchise. The campaign focused on building awareness through organic social media and connecting the new release with the legacy of the original game.
The client’s goal was to increase visibility for the launch and generate engagement across social platforms. This required creating content that highlighted both the nostalgia of the classic title and the new features introduced in the Recharged version.
Strategic Approach
We developed a series of organic social posts that blended classic Centipede elements with the updated gameplay experience. We created content that highlighted recognizable aspects of the original game while introducing new mechanics and features.
We supported this content with a cross-promotional effort in partnership with Alienware, coordinating a giveaway to increase visibility and drive engagement. This approach helped extend the campaign's reach and connect it with a broader gaming audience.
Results
The campaign generated over 428,000 organic impressions on Twitter and drove consistent engagement and clicks through targeted social content. The content introduced Centipede: Recharged to both existing fans and new audiences during the launch window.
In addition, the Alienware partnership helped increase visibility and contributed to campaign buzz. The campaign successfully supported the launch through organic channels and reinforced awareness of the updated title.
