Solo Developer Rooted Elevation’s Arabian Psychological Horror Visual Novel ‘Saraab: Beyond The Veil’ Launches November 3 on Steam

Play as Elham, a schoolgirl whose brother has suddenly been kidnapped. In a story where saving your brother means facing your own demons, Elham must go on a journey confronting foes she could’ve never imagined. To forge her own destiny, she must unlock the powers of her bloodline.  Each encounter, whether with monsters born of the night or fragments of her own psyche, draws Elham closer to the truth behind the abduction and to knowing who she truly is.

Saraab: Beyond The Veil is a story of self-discovery and connection, harnessing the supernatural spirits of Arabian mythology to pay homage to the developer’s heritage, combining Gulf-inspired folklore with psychological horror to uniquely craft an emotional family story. It draws on djinn traditions and tales known across the Gulf and UAE in particular, bringing a less familiar cultural perspective to the visual-novel horror space.

While horror is the setting of the game, healing is what moves the story forward. As Elham confronts the beliefs and inner shadows shaped by her family experiences, she gains the ability to change reality. Her choices influence both her path and the ending.
