Set in a decaying frontier town plagued by eldritch horrors, Tombwater follows a lone gunslinger searching for a long-lost friend while fighting to protect their sanity. Inspired by The Legend of Zelda, Bloodborne, and Hollow Knight, the game combines challenging combat, interconnected exploration, and gruesome boss encounters in a haunting Wild West setting.
Experiment With New Builds Without Starting Over
One of the most requested additions from the Tombwater community, Class Respec allows players to change their class and reallocate base stats without starting a new game. This gives players more freedom to experiment with different builds and combat approaches.
To respec, players must visit the saloon at Vauxhall Mining Camp, where they can share a drink with Drinks Johnson in exchange for at least one Whiskey Bottle.
Players can switch between all seven classes, each offering a different approach to combat:
- Soldier: A durable frontline fighter built around strength, endurance, and powerful melee attacks.
- Gunslinger: A ranged specialist who relies on fast, high-damage gunfire to take down enemies from a distance.
- Occultist: A magic-focused class specializing in hexes, with increased resistance to Madness.
- Tinkerer: A resourceful fighter who makes the most of crafted items, explosives, traps, and potions.
- Spellblade: A hybrid fighter who combines close-range swordplay with magic and hexes.
- Drifter: A versatile, mobile fighter who uses quick movement and dashing sword attacks to outmaneuver enemies.
- Nameless: A challenging option for experienced Soulslike players, with limited starting advantages and little room for error.
Players can also reallocate their HP, MP, and Stamina. Starting equipment remains tied to the character's original class.

Take on the Lanternkeeper
A challenging new boss awaits in the Casket Workshop in the North Graveyard. The Lanternkeeper offers a difficult encounter for experienced players, giving even those who have already completed Tombwater a new reason to return.
To reach the boss arena, players must navigate the workshop and use Wraith Shot to light ten candles. Defeating the Lanternkeeper rewards players with the Ghostlamp Blade, a new weapon that causes bothBurn and Cold status effects to build up on enemies.
