Designed for ages 10 and up and groups of three or more, the easy-to-learn game combines the accessibility of a party game with light collaborative roleplaying, inviting players to solve bizarre scenarios through creativity, discussion, and quick thinking.

Inspired by the imaginative games the founders created together growing up, In A World is designed to bring that same spirit of playful problem-solving to family game nights, dinner parties, summer camps, and icebreakers. With virtually no setup and quick 15-30 minute sessions, the game is approachable for both seasoned tabletop players and first-timers.

Each round begins with an “In A World” card that sets the scene, dropping players into strange scenarios like running a medieval tavern, planning an art heist, or surviving giant flying spiders. Players then choose a “We Want” card from their hand featuring an item, ability, or helper they think offers the best solution. After the cards are read aloud, players make their case to the team leader, encouraging lively discussion, persuasion, and creative problem-solving. With 80 “In A World” cards and 325 “We Want” cards, the game is built for quick, highly replayable sessions shaped by the imagination of the people around the table. The box also includes optional gameplay variations for groups looking to mix things up.

In A World was inspired by the imaginative games we created together when we were growing up,” said Ashley Rezvani, co-founder of Ludonaut Games and assistant professor of game design at the University of Montana. “We wanted to make a game that felt welcoming, funny, and easy to jump into, while still giving players plenty of room to be creative with friends and family.”
