Challenges & Goals

Owlcat Games partnered with UberStrategist to support the reveal of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, a third-person action RPG set in The Expanse universe and inspired by choice-driven sci-fi RPGs. The title marked a major new project for the studio and its first public reveal.

As an ongoing client, Owlcat engaged UberStrategist to generate strong awareness around the reveal, extend coverage beyond the initial showcase moment, and coordinate developer interviews with top-tier outlets. The goal was to ensure the announcement landed as a high-impact moment and maintain momentum through follow-up media coverage.

Strategic Approach

Owlcat premiered the reveal trailer during the Future Games Show, and UberStrategist aligned news distribution to coincide with the broadcast. We prepared press materials in advance and coordinated timing to ensure coverage followed immediately after the trailer aired.

Following the reveal, we prioritized follow-up with Tier 1 outlets, managed inbound press interest, and coordinated developer interviews with priority media. Our focus was on sustaining visibility beyond the initial announcement and supporting deeper coverage through interviews and feature opportunities.

Results

The reveal of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn generated widespread attention across global gaming media, with coverage appearing in outlets such as GamesRadar+, PC Gamer, Multiplayer.it, Comicbook, 3DJuegos, Gaming Bible, DualShockers, Hobby Consolas, and Screen Rant. We also secured interviews with IGN, Game Rant, CNET, Polygon, Wccftech, DBLTAP, and the Epic Games Store Blog.

The announcement gained significant traction across social platforms as well and became a trending topic on X following the reveal. With an estimated reach of over 3 billion, the campaign delivered a strong opening moment for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn and set a solid foundation for continued media engagement as development progresses.
